Booking Tickets

How can I book tickets?

For information on how to book tickets, please visit our Box Office Page. If you are interested in a specific event, you can view how to book tickets on the individual event page.

What do I need to bring for Admission?

You only need to bring your ticket, and/or booking reference with you.

If you booked online, or over the phone, you should have either a printed ticket, or a mobile/e-ticket. You should also have a booking reference.

If you booked in person, you should have a paper ticket, or an e-ticket should have been sent to you.

If you are unsure, please do get in touch, and we will assist you.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Refunds are only issued if the performance is cancelled.
Ticket Protection is available at extra cost, for tickets purchased Online, or Over the Phone with TicketSource.

If there are any changes to an event—such as a date change or a change in lineup—and you are no longer able or wish to attend, you are entitled to a refund.

Are you a Hynt Venue?

Unfortunately, we are not currently a member of the Hynt Scheme, and therefore do not offer the Hynt benefits.

Are children / concession / companion tickets available?

Every event has different tickets available – please refer to the individual event page, for information on the tickets available.

Unless otherwise stated, all persons (including companions) will be charged admission.

Does the event have an age restriction?

If an event has an age restriction, it will be listed on the individual event page.

There is a problem with my tickets, or I haven’t received them

Can I buy tickets at the door?

For most events, tickets will be available on the door; however, this is subject to availability.
For some events, tickets sell out before the event day, meaning no further tickets will be released.

We accept cash and card, at the door, however please note, The Albert Hall now applies a small Venue Admin Fee to all tickets purchased at the door. This fee helps cover administrative and payment transaction costs.

For tickets priced up to £25, the fee is £0.50 per ticket.
For tickets priced at £25 and above, the fee is £1.00 per ticket.

We aim to list the ‘Door Price’ on event pages alongside the online price for clarity.

Under 18 Months / ‘Babes in Arms’ Policy

Children under 18 months will be admitted for free, to all events, unless otherwise stated, on the condition that they will sit on a parent, or guardian’s lap.

Should you, or your child, wish for them to sit in their own seat, then a ticket will need to be purchased. If a child ticket is on sale for the event, then this will be suitable.

Your Visit

What time should I arrive?

Try to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance to allow time to use our facilities, buy a drink, and get settled into your seats.

What happens if I arrive late?

We understand that arriving late is sometimes unavoidable. Upon arrival please make yourself known to a Steward who will advise you when to enter the theatre.

Please note: It is likely that the theatre will be in total darkness and an usher will escort you to your seat by torchlight. Bar Facilities are likely to be unavailable whilst the performance is running.

Where should I park?

We do not have onsite parking. Therefore, we would advise you to use the Local Authority Pay and Display Car Park, on High Street (LD1 6BG), a short walk away from the theatre.

Is there a Dress Code?

No, there is no dress code.
We welcome everyone through our doors and want our audiences to feel comfortable.
We are a family, and community theatre, so something sensible must be worn.

There are times however, when a performance does require a certain dress code but we’ll communicate this to you in advance.

Where are the toilets located?

Our toilet facilities can be found at the sides of the foyer.
Female toilets to the left side of the foyer as you enter.
Male toilets to the right side of the foyer as you enter.
Our Accessible / Gender-Neutral toilet, can be found on the left side of the auditorium, next to the accessible entrance.

If you cannot find the facilities, please ask one of our friendly stewards.

Where can I buy Drinks & Snacks?

Our ‘Ah Bar’ will be open for most events.

Can I eat in the Theatre?

While we do allow some food items and drinks into the theatre, eating during the show may disturb others so we ask you do this before or after a show.

Restrictions

No Hot or Strong-Smelling Food: Please do not bring hot food or food with strong odors into the building. Anyone doing so will be asked to leave.
Waste Disposal: Kindly dispose of all rubbish in the bins provided or take it home with you.
Alcohol Policy: Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Only alcohol purchased from our ‘AhBar’ may be consumed on-site. Violators will be asked to leave.
Prohibited Items: Plastic, metal, and glass containers—including bottles, cans, and cartons—as well as hot drinks, are strictly forbidden and must be disposed of before entering the venue.

Failure to abide by these basic rules, may result in individuals being asked to leave the premises. This is to ensure the safety of other patrons, and to enhance the experience for everyone. Thank you for understanding.

Do you have a cloakroom?

Unfortunately, we do not have a cloakroom here at The Albert Hall. Therefore, please only bring what you need with you, as you will need to keep your belongings with you at all times.

How should I behave during a performance?

We want everyone to be able to enjoy the performance so please respect those around you inside the theatre. How an audience is expected to act also depends on what you are seeing.

Talking, singing, humming and clapping can be distracting for other people if done at an inappropriate moment. Clapping should generally be saved for between acts or sets. Some shows have encore pieces, and this is the time when people can clap and sing along as the actual performance has finished.

During the show, coming and going to and from your seats should be avoided unless it’s in an emergency.

Can I take Photos & Videos?

No, our policy states that unless we/or the act, announce otherwise, photography and filming is not permitted in the theatre, once a show has started out of respect to the performers, and other patrons.

We do however, encourage all patrons to have pre-show theatre selfie; tag us @TheAlbertHallLW on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (X).

If you want to take professional photography or film for any reason then you must seek prior permission from us.

Where can I buy Programmes / Show Merchandise?

If available, Programmes and Show Merchandise will be available in the Foyer, or on the Auditorium Doors.
