Accessibility at The Albert Hall
The Albert Hall is a cherished Victorian theatre, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy performances in our beautiful venue. From step-free access to accessible facilities, we aim to make your visit as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Step-free Access
We have created a step-free route into the auditorium, bypassing the foyer to accommodate those with mobility difficulties. Simply speak to the front door steward upon arrival for guidance.
Inside the venue, while we do not have a lift, our Stalls and designated Wheelchair spaces are located on the ground floor. The Raised Stalls are located on the ground level, but are raked with up to 5 steps.
Please note: The Circle and Upper Circle sections are inaccessible for individuals with mobility challenges.
Companion Tickets
Companion seating availability varies by event. Unless explicitly mentioned on the event page, both the guest and their companion will need to purchase separate tickets.

Please note, only one companion ticket can be added per customer, per event.
Accessible Toilet
We are pleased to provide an accessible toilet on-site, located at the side of the auditorium.
Unfortunately, we do not have a Changing Places Toilet. The nearest one can be found on the Changing Places Website.
Hearing Assistance
We’re excited to introduce our new hearing support system, designed specifically for guests who are hard of hearing. Unlike traditional hearing loops, this system requires a device provided by us, offering:
- A loop function for hearing aids.
- Headphones for those who do not use hearing aids but require auditory assistance.
If the hearing support system is available for an event, it will be clearly listed on the event page.
When available, we highly recommend pre-booking a device at the time of ticket purchase to ensure access. If you’ve already booked your tickets, please contact us to arrange a device.
Please Note: Availability of this service is dependent on technical operations.
Refreshment Service
Due to the current nature of the building, we do not have step-free access to our ‘Ah Bar’. However, stewards will be more than happy to assist with refreshment orders.
Parking & Drop-offs
Customers may stop at the front of the building for a short period to drop off guests with mobility challenges. However, please note that we do not have parking facilities of our own.
For more information on Parking, please view our Getting Here page.
Medical Assistance
Many of our dedicated volunteers are first-aid trained. If you require assistance at any time, please ask the nearest steward, who will ensure you receive the necessary support.
Emergency Evacuation
We have personal emergency evacuation plans in place to ensure the safe exit of all guests. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of our team.
Assistance Animals
We welcome Service Animals (SA) and Emotional Support Animals (ESA) to accompany guests throughout the venue. To maintain a positive experience for all visitors, we ask that all animals:
- Stay clear of main walkways.
- Remain quiet and close to their handler.
- Are house-trained.
- Do not come into contact with food or beverages.
- Are clean, well-groomed, and hygienic.
We reserve the right to assess animal admission requests on a case-by-case basis. If requirements are not met or the welfare of the animal is at risk, staff may ask the guest and their animal to leave.
Animals that do not qualify as Service or Emotional Support Animals will not be permitted entry.
For full details, please refer to our Assistance Animal Policy.
Need Help? Ask Our Stewards!
If you require assistance at any time, our friendly stewards are happy to help. You can easily identify them by their black jackets with our logo and red lanyards displaying steward badges.
