The latest updates from The Albert Hall,
about the Coronavirus pandemic
1st February 2021
1st July 2021
We are so sorry that in these testing and difficult times you have not able to enjoy a visit to our theatre.
However, we are now pleased to announce that we are now, OPEN!
The Albert Hall will officially reopened for business, on Saturday 10th July 2021, when we welcomed everyone for ‘Tour and Tea’! Where we gave a first look at what we’ve been up to, throughout the pandemic!
The first performance in 16 Months, took place on Wednesday 14th July, and was Sarah and Duck’s Big Top Birthday! You can find out what else we’ve got coming up, by visiting our whats-on page!
The health and well-being of our patrons, volunteers, and performers is our top priority, and we will be doing our best to ensure everyone is kept safe. Therefore, there are several measures that will be in place until further notice.
- One way system around the building
- Reduced capacity to enable social distancing
- Hand Sanitizer points
- Track and Trace contact details taken from all attendees
- Masks to be worn by all attendees (Excluding those with an exemption), at all times unless eating, or drinking
- Increased cleaning
We are extremely grateful to Arts Council of Wales, for supporting us from the Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF), and from round 2 of the CRF, who have provided, the necessary equipment to allow us to reopen safely. We must also thank Theatres Trust, for their support from the ‘Theatre Reopening Fund’, who have also supported us to obtain the correct equipment to reopen safely.
We would like to thank you for your ongoing support, and patience throughout the Pandemic, and our thanks, also go to all Key Workers, who have worked hard on the front line, keeping us all safe.
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon!
